In October, Valve welcomed platinum selling artist Jason Derulo to the studio. While out on his American tour, he stopped in for a long day of recording/producing with Australian pop group Trinity. Great experience working with all of them?check out our pics….hopefully look for mixes at the beginning of the new year! Tracking continued in October and November for indie rockers The Blurries and Duette. Drummer and all around swell guy Dave Mabry also visited to lay drum tracks for upcoming Jack Foltyn songs. Pre-production and tracking began with producer Casey DiIorio for the upcoming Here Holy Spain full length to be out on Idol Records. From initial pre-pro, there is going to be some really great stuff on this record?getting to spend a bit more time this go round to flesh out and hone in arrangements?.look for an early 2011 release! Final touches were put on The Auxiliary Voice songs and mixes completed. Mixes were also completed for Jack Foltyn and Acoustic Sound Hounds. Birmingham, AL singer/songwriter Carson Sumpter stopped in the studio for a day to record a song?great having them by. To wrap up the year, Valve welcomed Michael Jerome (Richard Thompson, Better Than Ezra) back to the studio to drum on the upcoming Matt Thompson project, Bat Lanyard. We knocked out 5 tunes while he was in town?and the takes were amazing. Happy Holidays indeed.

John Dufilho returned to the studio to take the recently mixed tracks and hit them with tape using CLASP. Got great results at 30ips off the Studer. Indie rockers Duette and The Blurries continued to work on their upcoming releases with Producer Casey DiIorio. Valve welcomed Keite Young (former Hidden Beach recording artist) to the studio to cut the basic tracks for his upcoming disc. They got some great sounds recording through CLASP. Engineer Joey Lomas manned the session. Austin indie band Zest of Yore continued work for their upcoming EP while The Auxiliary Voice finished tracking three songs. Other recordings were completed for Lisa Linehan and Acoustic Sound Hounds.
